Award-winning soul and jazz vocalist Shameem presents an intimate duo performance with guitarist Alex Borthwick.

Known for her powerful vocals and soulful songwriting, Shameem has supported international artists including George Benson, Michael Bolton, Belinda Carlisle and Ronan Keating, and toured throughout Australia, the USA and Canada. Her latest recording, ‘Time Does Not Reverse’, won the Independent Music Awards Urban EP category and received recognition in major songwriting competitions around the world.

Stripping things back for this special JazzConnect performance, Shameem explores a rich mix of soul, jazz and blues, showcasing the warmth, emotion and musicianship that have made her one of Perth’s most respected performers.
