The Brenda Lee Jazz Duo features prolific jazz pianist and composer, Mike Nelson on keys with Perth’s international woman of jazz, Brenda Lee on vocals. 

The duo will deliver an enjoyable repertoire of sultry jazz ballads, upbeat swing, rhythmic bossa nova and jazzy blues with contemporary interpretations of the works of great composers like Antonio Carlos Jobim, Rodgers and Hart, Wayne Shorter, Duke Ellington and many more.

Brenda Lee is an established jazz vocalist, recording artist and songwriter, with over twenty years of experience in live jazz performance.  Brenda is well known for her quiet sophistication and versatility, coupled with smooth and sultry vocals. Trained at WAAPA and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Brenda has travelled and performed with prominent jazz musicians in Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, New York, Perth, Vancouver and Melbourne. 

Mike Nelson has a long history of international touring across Great Britain, Europe, India, Southeast Asia and Australia. Mike has worked with many notable international artists including the great Shirley Bassey, James Morrison and Jerry Lewis, just to name a few.
